Email problems going to make me lose my mind

Ok ... so today (as I posted in an earlier thread) Profimail stopped working and I went back to the stock app.

Well, that was a mistake.

Every time I hit sync it removes all my email even though I have it set to never remove messages from server. They just vanish into thin air. This is NOT helpful. UGH!!!

Downloaded the K9 email app. It has a ton of settings, including one that is keeping my messages in the inbox.
