Email Retention

I cannot seem to get my new Galaxy S3 to retain more than a week's worth of emails. I have the setting "Period to Synch Email" set to 1 month. My Droid Razr Maxx was able to store up to one month. Any suggestions?

Have you gone into your email address and looked under "Labels"? If you use labels, you may may need to set sync periods for each of them. Each label has a specified sync period; not all resolve to the default.

This is a valid question as there are different ways to manage the length of time the email app keeps your emails on your phone. I know in the stock email app you have to set up the time period for each account you use for it but mine will keep up to 30 days I think as the longest period on the phone, otherwise you have to go to the computer.
