Email Syncing Question?

Hey guys, in the default Android e-mail application (between phone and browser on the home screen), I have two accounts listed: one for my Yahoo mail and the the other through my FSU school email account (non-outlook). When I receive a new Yahoo mail, I'll see an entry for it on the notification bar and I'll go and check it out. Not so with my school email account. I simply don't get notifications when I receive a new email into that account. Is there a way to change is?

I don't care about syncing things with gmail or any of that stuff. I just want to receive a notification that I have new FSU mail like I do when I have a new Yahoo mail. Thanks!

Do you have that specific account set with notifications on? Each account has its own settings. In the email app, go to your school account, not the combined in box, and go to menu>account settings, scroll down to notification settings and make sure everything is set how you want it.
