Emails Notifications - Make them disappear when read on laptop ?

Hi Guys,

Wondering if anyone can help with my email notifications.

When i get an e-mail I receive the notification on my device as expected however I would also expect it to disappear when i read it on my laptop ? Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

I use Whatsapp on my laptop as well and it works as expected using this service - The notification comes up on my phone and the app

I've taken to using Edison Mail as i prefer the layout to the stock S8 app but i still experience the same thing.

Are you using the POP3 or IMAP server for your email provider? If you're using POP3, then change to IMAP.

I've got 2 accounts - Gmail and Outlook so both should be using IMAP.

I notice if i use the gmail app for the gmail account it works as expected

I suggest you to try outlook app. It can handle all of your accounts.

Thanks Manafa but the layout isn't the best in comparison to other apps such as Edison Mail which has a unified mailbox button.

I also notice outlook doesn't support badge count on the app icon for unread mail.

Are there any other mail apps which support read/unread synchronisation on notifications ?
