When I go to a website and there is an embedded video, I can click play, the timer starts, and no sound or visual comes up. Is this something to do with the maxx???

I guess you did not read my message... details means details: what website, what video if there are more than one on that website or web page. At least if you give us the website or exact web page then others might be able to tell if they work on our devices.
