Embedded YouTube Videos in Stock Browser?!

Okayyyyyyy guys and gals, something very weird is happening right now. I just discovered earlier that somehow I am now able to view embedded YouTube videos in the stock browser, all whilst still running Android 2.1. No changes to my phone. Anyone else noticing this?

Chris, I just recreated your exact scenario on my Fascinate as well... Interesting

The ONLY thing I can think of is maybe Google changed something within YouTube itself, maybe how websites handle embedded YouTube videos? I may have to go over to another site that has embedded videos that are not from YouTube and see if I can eliminate that as a possibility.

I have tried multiple sites with embedded videos not related to YouTube and cannot reproduce--always asks to play in Video Player or Movies

Hmm it would appear that something has changed within YouTube, particularly with how pre froyo handles embedded video. Very interesting indeed.
