Hi, new Poco f7 pro owner here. I can't seem to add emergency contacts, going through the safety and emergency setting then selecting emergency contacts the only option is to select from internal shared storage files, I have tried various ways to get to contacts instead, tried several ways suggested by Gemini etc with several cache clearance and reboots but nothing has worked, does anyone know how to fix this ? I have also messaged Xiaomi but no reply yet. Thank you

Welcome to Android Central forums. Unfortunately, I do not know this device but let's see if we can help anyway.

The piece of advice I often give is find the right pond to fish. Here at AC you're going to find people with every different Android device you can think of. Good for general stuff but not always good for very specific things, of which category I think your question falls into. I suggest you look where more people share your device and UI, in a Xiaomi forum. Try the link below.

Reading your question the best idea I could come up with to give you what you want in the way you want it would be to change your phone's UI. This would change the look and some would say, the feel of the phone but you could get it to work the way you feel it should. Nova launcher is a popular app for this.

The simplest way to do it would be to add your emergency numbers to your lock screen image. I've seen people put emergency numbers in the corner of the image and others who use the whole image. Really you just want others to have access to this information when it's needed, probably less important how they get it, and more that they have it.

Wish there was more that I could offer. Best wishes. Let us know what you find or decide to try.
