Emoji help

Hello,

I have CM9 Beta 3 on my Epic and am using Handsent with Emoji plug in and Emoji encoding settings set to iphone/softbank.

My friends with iphones can receive all emojis from me just fine, but I can only receive a few of theirs. Most of the emojis I receive from them show up as question marks.

Anyone know how to remedy this or point me to a place where I can find out.

I thought that the emoji's worked for you and others that have (are using) handcent sms. I have the same setting and it's a crap shoot if others see my emojis. sometimes you see them, other times they are little rectangles. I know that Handcent has an iphone app out now. Are the iphone users using stock sms app or handcent sms app?
