greetings,

I've just purchased a Galaxy Note 3 on T-Mobile, updated it to Lollipop, and I've noticed something--lack of Emoji keys for the most part. My Windows 8.1 phone had a large amount of them built into the basic messaging app, i.e. lots more faces and lots of basic icons that I use to make some of my messages coded fun! It looks like an app is needed to do this for anything besides simple face expressions. What do the users out here prefer?? I'd like to see what is good and what is not so...

Thanks!

What keyboard are you using? I use SwiftKey on my TMO Note 3 and have tons of emojis. If you're using the stock Samsung keyboard, press and hold the microphone symbol and select the blackface smiley for lots of emojis.

There's approximately 800 emoji in the stock Note 3 keyboard. I haven't compared that to other keyboards but I'm surprised that anyone could call that a "lack" of emojis. I don't personally have any suggestion for you if you don't like the ones included since I rarely use them so haven't looked for alternatives. But I just found your characterization of the stock emoji collection more than a bit off.

Thanks for the tips! Somehow, I've overlooked the mic key. I hate voice typing and completely ignored the fact you have to press and HOLD said key. I'd say the stock keyboard is sufficient. 😉
