Emojis on WhatsApp can't be picked up

You can see Youtube below that emojis and GIFs cannot be picked up. This has happened in the past few months. And now the new stickers also can't be picked up. WhatsApp has been uninstalled and reinstalled many times but the problem is still there. WhatsApp 2.18.341 and Android 4.4.4 (Samsung Galaxy Mega 2).

Help will be highly appreciated.

That would be a bug in the WhatsApp app. Possibly due to the age of the OS.

I have two other phones with older Androids, Galaxy Grand 2 (Android 4.4.2) and Galaxy Core (Android 4.1.2)

Both can run WhatsApp properly including emoji, GIF and sticker
