Enabling NFC on Galaxy Note 2

By going into settings ---> more settings I have enabled NFC. But when I swipe from top bring up notification menu, I am not seeing the NFC icon in the top row where it lists all the services. I see other enabled services like Bluetooth, GPS, ....etc in there. I am using rooted SGN2 (Verizon). Please let me know if I am missing anything in enabling NFC . Thanks in advance.

As far as i know there is no NFC toggle.

There is no NFC notification!

Thank you DrodXcon and cj100570 for your replies. I got confused by watching this video below and it appears the NFC status in the togle is a feature only in Internation version and not for US.

Otherwise my NFC feature is working and thanks again.

No problem, im sure this is actually a simple toggle to add if you are rooted
