So my contact for my note 3 ends soon and I want to upgrade. However this phone has been so good I don't know what to get next, note 4 seems pointless because it's now outdated and they can ram the note 5, there's no way I'm buying a note without external storage and removable battery. What other phablets compare to the amazing note 3?

By the way I've dropped it many times and it's been around the world from Afghanistan to sierra leone. It's not in the best condition to keep!
Many thanks

My wife has a Note 3 and she drops it all the time, but she hasn't left the country recently and I bet your's is in a better condition than hers lol. the other day I came home from work to find the phone on the floor, battery popped out, spen across the floor and she asked me "do you know where my phone is"

Removable battery and SD storage are things we used to take for granted, but looking at the recent phones that have been released, we are slowly loosing these features. LG seem to be the only company offering both features you are looking for. The rumoured LG G Pro 3 might be worth while holding out for, or buy the current flagship the LG G4.

And such a small change from the 3 as to not make much difference.

My reasons for not looking at it exactly.

From what I've seen, if you want a stylus with a fine point, nothing. Which is why I'm not planning on replacing mine. I'm 73 - one of my grandsons will probably get it when I die - or a great grandchild if I live that long. Unless they do what they did at the turn of the century. My StarTAC still works (better than any Android or iPhone too), but with no GPS, it's not legal to activate it.

I've only dropped mine in an Otterbox Defender (hard, screen down, more than once), but you couldn't tell by examining the phone, the case or what they hit.

I wish I had. I miss traveling.

It works? Pieces aren't falling off? That's my "replace" point. Unless the Note 6 gets a replaceable battery and an external SD card. And something more than better resolution and 0.2" more screen.
