End of June for ICS???

Its been said in many blogs that ICS for the Razr will be out in June acording to Motorola. Let them take all the time they need I don't want my phone F'ed up because its not ready.

This is exactly the reason why OEM's push updates when they do. They don't want to release half broken code or issue an update that doesn't work -- at least for the masses. If OEM's can release new updates sooner, rather than later, they would.

Yes, there are still some OEM's (Samsung) that have been notorious for releasing updates at snail-pace. But most are getting their stuff together and have realized that they need to keep a strict timeline to release updates on flagship devices.

Good in theory but every major update I have received had a bunch of things broken that were working before the update!

It seems like everytime I surf the net different phones are still getting the 4.0 update. I feel like the little kid looking out the window crying because I cant go to the ice cream truck:'( We are supposed to have the best phone on the market!

I don't know about anybody else but I have managed to not check to see if there is an update for my phone for the last few days. I'll be patient and check the forums every once in awhile to see if the update came through or not.

I'm in no hurry to update either. I had a Galaxy Nexus with ICS 4.0 and had all kinds of software issues.

I'm happy with my MAXX

Going from ICS back to GB has been brutal for me. I can't wait for this update. Only reason I didn't root yet and run a ROM is because I just got the phone and will wait for the OTA (aside from the fact the ROMs do not have the right kernel or hardware acceleration ). In my opinion ICS is a huge improvement over GB for just the browser alone. Voice recognition and multitasking is much better too.

Totally agree with you on the ics back to gb. I upgraded from an X to a Nexus, i so wanted it to work out but it didnt, day 14, i traded it for this maxx i have now. Great phone, just gingerbread is a little dried out for me.

Time will tell when ICS comes out for Motorola phones. I just do not want to work through a bunch of software issues. I played that game with my blackberry every time a new OS was released :banghead:

I totally agree. I used my GNex last night because to test the 4.0,4 update, and ICS is great. But there is no customization to the OS by the manufacture. Moto will add Blur and all their other custom stuff on top of ICS, so it won't put a pure ICS like on the Nexus. I'm still looking forward to it on my Maxx though just to see what they do with it.

Im holding off on buying the maxx until the ICS update is official. Cant wait to have a phone that finally allows me to forget about the battery.

Well holding off is stupid the maxx is badass before the update if you are looking for battery
