Engadget preview

alight i ave an eris now which anyone of these will be better but i use launcher pro and welli do like sense but it wouldnt be a reason for me to keep an htc phone. so from what i understand the moto x has a fatster procesor but its underclocked? first why 2nd is it worth getting the faster phone if its under clocked or should i just stick with the incredible ive got ordered. i also never used moto blur it looked ok on the engadget review again i use launcher pro for y home. What do you fuys think?

looks like an amazing phone but im sticking with my droid waiting for something with a bigger improvement over it and im eligible for upgrade begining of year so im sure few more phones will be out by then

If this thing really drops on July 19th like some sites are predicting, i'll be one of the first to get this thing seeing as how my T(GAY)-Mobile contract runs up on July 25th lol.

so i have been reading it might have a dlna app. what is that and what does it do

Note sure what kind of implementation they're using on the Droid X, but here's an overview of DLNA:

I use DLNA with my 360 all the time. It is pretty cool. Think streaming divx (or other streamable content I guess) from your pc in real time. Works great with the 360. PlayOn Media Server uses DLNA for hulu as well. May be a way for people to watch Hulu with just flash light but I would hope this comes with Froyo...

Looking into DLNA a little bit more. Just found an app in the Android Market called iMediashare. Using the DLNA capabilities of a PC, 360, or PS3 to share media. Sounds pretty cool. I'd imagine the included app for the Droid X will be similar, though likely more polished.

Question guys I've got an incredible on order and am most like gunna switch to the droid x but what's the deal them saying it's faster then the incredible but underclocked can someone help I'm confused it's like selling a 500 hp Ferrari with a governer on it so it only pushes 250?

This is what I've been waiting for - an evo equivalent on Verizon. I need a big screen and this will do just fine. My Droid will be on Ebay real soon. And I can easily live without a front facing camera.

This phone looks marvelous. I was pretty set on the Incredible, but I think I might have an X in my sights.
