Epic Versus Pre

Try setting it as your default launcher

That may have been the problem... everytime I would try the "double" home click it would jump around and then freeze and go back to the TW home screen...

What millisecond delay setting are you using?

Thanks that helps a good bit, I like the updating and all that goes with it.. you should see my wifes pre, it doesnt have volume keys, power key, keyboard doesnt work, etc.. its kind of funny.. but sad at the same time..

is the updating better? have you noticed a huge difference, and is the multi tasking worse or better.. I really appreciate the feed back..

Multitasking is just as easy IMHO. Is pretty close to the card system (press and hold home and select the app you want). Honestly the card system was the only thing holding me to webos and now after the time I have spent with android Im not missing cards at all. Its a change but a good one.

I agree

I totally agree. I LOVED WebOS. The multi-tasking, the synergy, the notifications, the lay out of App Store... all were some of the best features of Palm. If Palm could produce a good quality phone with at least a 4" screen, I would go back in a heart beat.

Got an email back from the developer of Itchy Thumbs requesting the following features and he says that it should be coming out in the next version.

- A choice of card views. The current view plus a flat view like the Palm Pre has.
- A choice of having gestured enabled or not. Gestures for me gets in the way and I do not use it.
- Add a 4x1 or 4x2 area at the bottom where apps can be added for quick launch. Also have the ability to add a button to the app tray.

Earlier this year I switched my Pre for a Moment so I can see if I liked Android before getting the Evo. Well when the Evo was released I was actually pretty annoyed with the Moment (very buggy) so i went back to the pre. now that the Epic is out I am really considering it but I am afraid it will have the same battery life as the Moment which was much worse then the Pre.

If Palm release a good phone I would definitely stay with WebOS, but since they haven't even announced a new phone, I may have to try the Epic. All the posts on this thread have been very helpful.
