I try to access the Android market and the internet browser and they both say i have no network connection. I also have lookout security and tried to backup my device tonight and it also said that i had no connection. Is there a problem with Samsung because my mom's Evo is working perfectly fine. she can get on the web and market with no problem. I have already done a factory reset and that has done nothing. And also every time i try to update my prl firmware or profile it always says try later or contact sprint. what is the deal? I am getting very frustrated with this. Thanks for any input

Has your phone been activated? If so it sounds like you need to bring it in your a replacement.
 
I think its the epics. Mine starting acting funny around 1 am central. Stopped sending texts then on and off data connection.
 
Mine won't send text messages. Or receive. Must be a Daylight Saving Time issue.
 
can you connect to wifi sprocket?

im not to sure what the problem is but if doing a factory reset did not fix it you should definitely take it in right away.

lastly make sure you dont have airplane mode enabled. you probably dont, but i just want to make sure : )
 
went to sprint today and they did a full refresh, as if it had come right out of the box. im not sure what he did but he made it work. im not even sure how to do a full refresh because a factory reset didnt work. anyone know about that?

Yes, You can do it from home with some extra software. The hardest part is getting the right drivers installed on the computer, the rest is pretty easy, but not straight forward, so I made a little cheatsheet How-To on it. Aalthough it says for updating, this way works for resetting everything.

What's the difference between a full refresh and factory reset?

I'm having the same issue with the browser (stock and Dolphin) only working intermittently. The problem started on Sunday and is still the same today with both 3G and 4G; wifi seems to work fine though. Also, everything seems to sync fine. I've also tried updated my profile , PRL and restarting the phone (not factory reset) but it still seems to be a hit or miss.

I wanted to avoid a factory reset, but if that will solve the issue I will do it. Any extra input would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
Mine is doing pretty much the same thing. Another member posted gtalk not staying signed in. I can't believe all these epics just stop working all at once. My upload and download speed has been 300/125's since Sunday atleast. This site will take 5min to load. Almost like I'm stuck on 1x.
 
mine is doing the same thing for the last couple days...browser works intermittently and uploading isn't working...resisting taking it in for a refresh though!!
 
went online and chatted with sprint - they said known issue they are working on. asked for credit and got 20 bucks....
 
Everything is working for me since I went to sprint and they reset it for me. Not sure why factory resetting didn't work for me but whatever they did made it work. But the issue I'm having now is that my web browser takes several minutes to load. My home page is set for android central. When it finally loads to it I tap on an article and it takes several more minutes for it to load that page. Is it just me or is my epic the only one that is extremely slow?
 
Yes, that happens to me too - it's the issues they are having with data I think. My browser will load also, but extremely slowly if at all. So, I don't think they really fixed your issue, it's more network driven. I've found some other posts and a huge thread on sprint.com where many other people are experiencing the same issues.
 
Yeah, I took mine into a Sprint Service store today, and there was another guy with an Evo with the same problem while I was there....the tech said that there was a communication problem between Sprint and Google.

I tried to do an online chat with Sprint to try for the $20 credit, and basically was told "sounds like a technical problem, please call 888-211-4727"....for the time being, everything seems to be working for me now...so I didn't bother to call....oh well, the $20 credit would've been nice, but they didn't give me one.
 
The same thing has been happening to mine, since sunday also, market won't load and browser without wifi. Sucks when I'm away from home and no wifi connection...
 
To be honest, I didn't notice any issues. I must be special.......yea where's my helmet and window.....lol
