Erasing Device

Hi everyone,

I have to send back my S7 Edge due to a pixel issue. I want to wipe the phone before sending it. On previous phones, I encrypted the phone before doing a factor reset. I can't find that option on the S7. Is it because Android Marshmallow defaults to encryption? If anyone has advice, that would be great.

I wouldn't worry about it . just do the factory reset. The factory reset wipes out encryption or decrypts then wipes anyways.

Or you could flash the stock ROM (which is trivial with a Samsung - see [Samsung] How to flash Stock ROM via ODIN). That would probably give even the NSA heartburn.
