Error: "Avoided poor internet connection"

I have tried turning the ASUS me173x on and off. same with the wi-fi button. I also tried switching over to the static and it says connected but doesn't actually connect. if i do a factory reset will i loose my pictures? or just my apps and settings.

forget your connection then reconnect in advance option set Dhct to static and fill the ip address of your network

modify network or forget and reconnect then in advance setting do this :
IP setting: Static
IP address: 192.168.1.128
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
DNS 1: 8.8.8.8
DNS 2:8.8.4.4
Connect

just wasted 2 hours searching until i found this line: under data/misc/dhcp

I found that deleting the contents of /data/misc/dhcp and then restart your device would cleared the issue.

I hope this helps someone

Brilliant, this fixed it for me (on a rooted ME173X). Many thanks!
I only registered to let you know. ;)

Have you ever tried Ths solution:
Code:
The solution that I built simply automates turning WiFi Off, clearing DCHP information, and then turning WiFi back On. Simple yet perfect solution! :)

Windows
Step 1
Click the "Start" button in the lower left of the computer screen.

Step 2
Click the Search box and type "cmd" (without quotes). Press the "Enter" key.

Step 3
Type "ipconfig" at the prompt in the pop-up Command window. Press "Enter."

Step 4
Write down the numbers and symbols listed next to "IPv4 Address" or "IPv6 Address." Usually there will be either an IPv4 or IPv6 address listed, but if there are both, either one will work. This number is your computer's IP address.

Step 5
Take down the number sequence next to "Default Gateway." This is your router's IP address.

............ go to settings then wifi , get to your advanced settings of the connection u want to connect to , make sure the ip addresses match, if not , correct them and it will fix your problem ! :)

This happened to me two months ago and i factory resetted. Today it started happening again. I want this damn thing to be ovr with permanently. Help me please :(:(

I've had this problem on an LG G3 for months (Verizon.)

It does this every time it shuts down (when it dies, when I have to reboot, etc.) WPS button worked a few times, before that stopped working too. Tried to manually enter it, still nothing. Half the time I just say eff it and go to bed, only to wake up in the morning and find it finally connected. I literally just had this issue again after the battery died; and here's what I did. Whether or not it just finally connected or if it finally solved it, I have no idea.

I connected my phone to my laptop (which was coneect5ed to wifi no problems) made sure it was on data transfer and not just charge. I was messing around in the settings to look for something to do like an internet pass through, and I went into "advanced wifi" and clicked on "Wifi direct."

Nothing ever actually popped up, but as I was in that it connected almost instantly. Like I said, don't know if that's what actually fixed it, but it's worth a shot before doing something like a factory reset.

This worked for me Just had to put the numbers back in even though they looked like they were in the fields already is wouldn't let me save the settings until I typed the ip and such in again.
