error code 67 registration failure

When I Try to tether the evo to my laptop this is the error message I keep getting.I installed HTC Sync and it still doesnt work.Any suggestions ?
p.s. I also tried pdanet and it gives the same error.

im using usb tethering using Easy Tether that i got from the market

I called Sprint after having the same issue. I was told that the 29.99 plan had to be added to my account. After he added it, I updated my profile and it now works perfectly.

Try turning on 4G. When I do I get connection. When I turn it off on my EVO I get that message agin.

I too get this message, but I’m not trying to hook it up to my laptop or anything. I just get the message when I go to unlock my phone or hit the home button.

I got this message too and it went away after I updated the PRL.

Menu > Settings > System Updates > UPDATE PRL

USB tethering only works without the $30 plan addon if you are using wifi and not 3G.
