Well, I'm sure a lot of you have seen this before, but I am having the infamous Package File is Invalid error when downloading from the Play Store.

I have wiped my cache, dalvik-cache, Uninstalled updates, and reflashed my rom.

ROM: Quattrimus AOKP Build 40
Android version 4.0.4 ICS

Please help, I've been trying forever to fix this and basically tried everything I've seen on google to try to fix this.

Here are 2 methods I know.
First method :
1. Wipe cache, data in play store
2. Wipe cache, data in Google services framework
3. Boot to recovery
4. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
5. Reboot
Second method:
Wipe Google play data then
Remove your Google account then add it again.

No luck with either methods. I just don't know why it won't fix :(

If you have a partitioned SD card, use link2sd to relink lib and dalvik files

You definitely want an ext partition on your sd-card if you're running Quattrimus.

Here's what worked for me.

You're gonna have to go back to the original VM setup. Then delete all partitions from the sd card and make two partitions....one large one (primary and fat32) and a smaller one (1 GB?)(primary and EXT).

I cannot stress that you use the EXT format for the smaller partition. I have redone two OV's using this method and have loaded mass amounts of apps without getting the "package file is invalid".

Of course, you will have to redo your ROM (I use Quattrimus ICS) from the start, but this method works.
