Euro Galaxy Alpha ATT NO LTE???

I bought a European model Samsung Galaxy Alpha at Oxford St London Samsung store. Despite specs showing what should be the right bands for LTE , when I use my postpay ATT SIM in USA, I only get HSPDA+. I went to APN section of Settings and created all the correct entries for the US ATT APN (the ATT Wireless store manager in Miami helped me with these settings)...but alas NO LTE, just H & H+. Is this a ROM issue? How can I get ATT LTE in USA?

As far as I know the Exynos SOC Europe does NOT have the correct LTE Bands for North,America.
The Qualcomm versions get LTE Here the 801 SOC, one version for
AT&T and the one for Bell Canada.
Bell,Canada unlocked version seems perfect for MetroPCS/TMobile.

I have researched extensively because I may purchase,Alpha for METRO/PCS , TMobile USA.
