And I am wondering if that is what's wrong with my n7...

Web pages take 45 secs to load... changes pages in Google Reader takes 10 or 15 seconds... loading messages in Gmail takes 10x longer than it used to...

Almost everything that used to be almost instantaneous when I first got my n7 now feels slower and takes longer.

When I am typing sometimes the keyboard seems to hang and I get a word or two ahead of what's been typed.

When I click the search icon the amount of time it takes for me to get the beep before I can speak is longer and it takes longer for the search results to come back...

Since it is happening across multiple apps, I think that it is either the tablet, Android or my internet connection... since my other devices don't exhibit this behavior, I am going to assume that it's either the OS or hardware...

Can anyone give me any tips for diagnosing this?

I cleared the cache in Gmail and Google Reader and that temporarily improved things but they are back to where I am noticing the general lagginess again...

Any ideas? Thanks!

Probably some app you installed at some point behaving badly.

You could go into Settings, Developer Options, and enable Show CPU usage. I think user apps show up in green. See if you notice anything running that you don't think should be running. This may or may not be useful because you'll see a lot of stuff. But I just turned it on and noticed the NBC Olympics app just came on and off for a moment, which reminded me I don't need that app no more.

There is an app called SystemPanel Lite in Google Play that shows a live view of what apps are running in the background.
