My evo is driving me nuts. I use music when I exercise, which consist of running and riding my bike. I usually ride on an open road bike trail and do 40 miles every weekend. So not sure if signal is bad for Pandora or what. So First Pandora, its not working. I can't get it to play more then half a song before it stops. Then it will go to the next song play 10 seconds and go to the next song and so on until after about three songs then it stops. It did this the other day also just walking my dogs around the neighborhood. It is just about useless. I unistalled it and reinstalled it hoping that would help and it did not.

Next is MP3. When I try and play songs my Voice dial kicks on and messes it up. I had transferred all my music from Itunes once and now they songs are not there. Also some other things are happening. Because I use Itunes I downloaded Doubletwist to try and make it easier to use. Now today I had doubletwist on and both it and the Mp3 player were playing at once. SO I had two songs going. Then the voice dial would kick on 10 seconds after I would start a song and put the phone in sleep. I usually use my ipod but the battery was dead so on my bike ride today I had to use the phone. It was pretty much useless for using music. Is anyone else having these issues?

What kind of earphones are u using? I've realized that some headphones have a bad connection(not completely snug) and will move in and out a lil.. and on alot of phones (try it urself) if u put the plug in and out really quick repeatedly it will activate voice dial as well as start/stop music playback. Like it creates ghost commands...

hmm interesting. I use Philips earphones. THey are the ones that wrap around you ear for exercising. cant remember what name they are but they would about $30.

just tried them and they are very snug with little to no movement though. This also happened in the car with the plug for the auxiliary jack.

are you running stock or custom ROM? could be the ROM. Also does it mess up when using the standard speakerphone without the headphones?

Well if u got a couple $ lying around see if you can find a slim headset(w/ a mic) not headphones, that are good for riding and try that out. Those plugs are made different with a little extra design for the speech part. That is what our plug is really made for.

Also with what you have now do they work if ur not moving the phone???

To be honest, Android does not have good music/video management at the moment. Hopefully that changes.

I have a stock rom. If the headphones are the problem, does anyone have any suggestions. I think that sucks if they are the problem. I have not tried straight speaker phone. Will try that

Ok just played pandora on speaker for three solid songs. It paused on one song waiting for a better signal. Once I touched the phone it started playing again. I guess the jack connection is playing a big part. What about doubletwist and mp3 playing at the same time though? I love android but am thinking of switching to iphone down the road just for the music ease and everything computer in the house is apple. Getting frustrated.

Double Twist was too buggy for me. I use iSyncr now to sync all my itunes playlists, and haven't looked back. Not that that's your problem, but you might have a couple issues going on. Your actual headphone jack might also be bad?

Have you tried Headset Blocker ( Roadkill ) in the Market? Let us know if this helps.

Ok I downloaded Headset blocker and tried Pandora and it wasn't working. Just kept going into loading and would lock everything up. Also both doubletwist and mp3 was still playing at the same time. SO I went back to the market and read more about Headset blocker and saw it was a widget and NOT turned on until you made it one. SO I made it a widget and played Pandora for about 5 minutes and so far it worked fine. Also tried playing doubletwist for a couple minutes and it seemed to work. Hope this is the problem. I did not have time to test more.

FWIW-- If I'm playing my MUSIC and start PANDORA. Both songs will be playing at the same time. I have to pause music ( no exit button available ) if I want to listen to Pandora. Vice versa, if I want to listen to my downloaded Music, I need to exit Pandora.

Not sure if this is your problem because I don't run the same apps. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Edit: Did a 30 mile ride this morning with my Music playing and zero interuptions. Ride at noon tomorrow. I'll use Pandora and see what happens. I don't really care for using a web based app while I'm riding. I like to keep my battery available for NAV ( 100 milers I tend to get lost ) and emergency calls to my wife to pick my sorry *** up, because I wimped out on the ride. I'm also using the Seido 3500 so that's a plus for the longer rides.

I'm a big fan of ISyncr. Used DoubleTwist on my Pre, with some headaches. ISyncr has been almost flawless for me on my Evo.

I was able to plug in the aux. jack and drive with the phone using pandora for about 20 minutes and then the mp3 player for another 20 min. I have never been able to use the phone in the car for music due to the problems until now. SO I hope that the headphone blocker app worked. Seems like it may have done the trick. I also just downloaded isyncr. Think I will try it out.
