everything stop working when go full screen

every time I have a video on full screen the video stops running and then nothing works, only the audio is playing. anyone experiencing this dilemma and why is it happening? It's across apps YouTube MX Player or even full screen on Chrome. is it a bug of some sort? I don't have a clue what to do to begin with this fix. tried rebooting... tried clear cache and data of apps in current usage... nothing works. Any ideas on getting around this anyone?
