So, how much do you all anticipate that the Evo 3D will cost?
All signs point to a $199 price point with 2 year contract. The Atrix 4g, a phone with similar specs, sans the 3d, have a similar price, even though the Evo and Thunderbolt are phones with last year's technology, and they still cost $199 (they can be had for much cheaper prices if you know where to look).
Off contract, the Evo 4G costs $450 but I expect that price to drop as we approach the launch date of the Evo 3D.
But, they may pull a fast one on us and raise the price on us. I say that because the Evo was only $450 off contract. If the price of the Evo increased to say $550 or even $600, how much would Sprint be willing to subsidize? The most I've seen is $200. So assuming Sprint subsidizes $200 off a $550 - $600 phone, and a manufacturer rebate of $ 100 is offered, then the phone could cost $250 - $300 on contract. I see sprint offerong a "new customer price" of $199 but that would be for new customers only. Of course this is all assuming an off contract price that's higher than that of the original Evo. Considering a second camera for 3d, a 3d qHD display, a dual core 1.2 ghz processor, more ram, more internal storage, and a bigger battery, it could very well get that high.
What's the maximum price you'd be willing to pay for this awesome phone?
Me? I cant guarantee that woukd pay over $199. If its more than that i would wait to purchase until all the bugs are out. I can guarantee that I wont pay a dime over $250.
