wow, just read the entire thread. It seems Pre owners are a majority of this thread and the people who will be picking up the 3D. Can't blame them at all, 4 months ago even my GF got an EVO shift and asked my why I won't upgrade. I told her I'd never get android because it was "clunky" and was waiting for the Pre3. Boy how things change in 4 months. I'll never go back webos sadly and coudlnt recommend it to anyone. Need a release date sprint!!!
Yeah I remember you being a die hard webos fan. Not sure what the future holds for them, they had their chance, but I think due to bad timing, marketing, and lack of resources, couldn't pull it off. Android has become a monster, and webos just doesn't seem to stand a chance.
I went to 2 of my local corporate sprint stores today and they both told me JULY 8.
Not sure how true it can be but its another day that can be added to the list of RUMORED dates.
Also this to me sounds like it might b true since its almost the same time as the Evo launch and wit the lack of info released by this time the evo date was allready know.

That almost wouldn't surprise me, after all, this time Sprint doesn't have to rush to beat the iPhone to the market. If you look around in the forum, I posted very early on, I think in April or March that someone at my local Radio Shack mentioned an email he had gotten (which he couldn't produce for me) that it will be launched in July.
All good things come to those that wait I assume.
Well you can add 3 more Pre users to the list of those jumping to the 3vo. We, however, have had no issues with WebOS. 2 Pre's are stock while one is rooted. One of the stock Pre's is an OG June 6 '09 unit still kicking and in great shape.. My wife will get the rooted Pre. She's already "training" on it and is turning into a text junkie. She's loves the Pre and is coming off of a TP which will be retired.

Damn, I never understood why pre had a following at all. I tried one once like a year ago or something and it was the worst 3 1/2 minutes of my life.

Nope, not this time. I was like that when waiting for the release of the EVO 4G. But I am still waiting for the release of the 4G part in my home area :'(
As I have said before, thats because its not close to coming out. There are reports of it still crashing and its not even on its final build, nor has it gone thru FCC. I know Sprint can do a silent FCC thing, but they never have with any other phone before, why start now? It wont be out till end of June or July.
I also passed by my local radio shack today and they said the Evo 3d is comeing out the 4th and that they had the phone in the store already. But wouldnt show it.
Did that person say that with a serious face, or where they trying to get some sort of geekgasm reaction out of you? You should go back to that store when someone else is working and ask that same question again, or ask a manager?
They guy i talked to has helped me in the passed and was in the store last year when i preordered my evo and when i picked it up at 630am. He seem like it wasnt liein but WHO KNOWS

Yeah its bad. I typically don't get this stirred up about new devices coming out but I am, indeed, at work typing this now.

im thinking about just waiting for iphone now...what happened to all the corporate ninja's? They used to be really good at leaking release date info but now they're all scared of getting fired.
Maybe if we flood the forums with this we will get a release date...
Although I have lost some interest in the 3D I feel like I have already waited this long that I might as well wait. I'm just concerned right now that I will be disappointed in the android experience... considering all the hype I have pushed myself into for my first smartphone purchase.
If you're coming from a flipper or a feature phone, I don't see how you could possibly be disappointed by ANY smartphone....uhm...well, except a Blackberry of course...

I think just that all the anticipation may make me a bit disappointed when it finally does come, its kinda how I am, I really should just ban myself from the forum
