EVO 4G and Exchange Calendar issues

I've done searches and found all the same answers from a year or so ago, so i thought I would ask this again and see if anyone else found a permanent solution that did not require installing a 3rd party app.

First of all, we're using an EVO 4G in an Exchange 2007 environment.

I have a user with an EVO 4G and on occasion, his calendar stops updating. Appointments that are moved or changed fail to do so on his phone. iPhones don't have this issue.

Things i've tried:

1. Rebooted phone
2. Factory reset phone
3. Removed exchange account, cleared data and cache, readded exchange account
4. Experimented with various sync times and data sizes

Mostly everything has been successful for about 2 weeks, then the same issues spring up again. Calendar item is moved from one time to another and the whole calender stops syncing.
