EVO 4G LTE 3G Speeds

"Pretty decent?" More like "fantastic". Let's put it this way, the best rates I *EVER* get here are around 800Kb/s and that is at 2am or something. During the day, 250Kb/s is a typical average, fluctuating from 50Kb/s up to 400Kb/s or so. And that is with 6 bars (full signal).

If I could consistently get the 3G speeds you are quoting, I wouldn't even care that much about 4G (I really don't use data that much).

I'm not complaining at all (for home that is), but at work it seems like 3g drops out a lot and it never really seemed to do that with the OG

That's a Sprint service issue and may take six months too a year before they can fix it.

The LTEVO is the same as my OG EVO due to the pretty lame Sprint service in my area. I took a pic of the speeds with my OG. I'll do a cap today with my LTEVO today.

That was taken outside of the local Sprint Corp store with a tower out back. I had (un)reasonable expectations that I would have the best chance for service there. Right? This past Saturday I asked the store manager when we might have better 3G (Network Vision) let alone LTE. They have no idea. Great.

I live outside of Springfield, MO but these images are all from the Sprint store on the south side of Springfield. Here's another "great" set taken at the same store.

As I said before I'll get caps from the LTEVO today near the same location.

I had some good laughs getting these Speed tests. As I said the phones are awesome. Sprint not so much.

I don't know WTF is up with my 4g LTE but I am getting terrible terrible 3g speeds. My pos blackberry curve was getting better 3g speeds. in my car, in my house, still terrible. It takes freaking forever to load up facebook for example, web pages takes a little longer than usual to load.

Can anyone tell me how I can take a screenshot and ill show you my slow speedtest speed. I did put a carbon fiber sticker on the back of my phone and I highly doubt that has anything to do with it because I noticed this slow speed prior to me putting it on.

Could I may have a defective piece? I only rely on my WiFi to get me through my web browsing.

I am currently in Houston which is one of the first cities that'll be getting LTE so hopefully they get the ball rolling soon.

Wow, I'm barely breaking 200kbps, although my upload is always at least triple that. I'm driving to a different part of town today, will do some tests, but it's been consistently this bad in my house for days.

t appears to me that the EVO LTE is overall pulling down better 3G speeds when compared to the OG and 3D. Is that safe to assume?

I would say so. Mine have been pretty consistent to this latest test.

So I had another good laugh today. A speed test in the middle of nowhere Missouri, well Fordland, netted some awesome results. A town of about 150 blows a city of 200k away. Go figure and what the heck Sprint?

I live in Joplin, MO and work in Monett, MO.

In Joplin my original EVO 4G gets 3G speeds anywhere between 20 and 60KBps. In Monett I get between 1 and 10KBps.

Sprint's coverage in southwestern Missouri is very crude and I have grim hopes for the future, even with a new EVO phone.

WTF!?!! 10KB's? That is horrible. I'd be ticked off and feel your pain bro. Those speeds make my 300-500K on my 3D seems lightning fast.

I asked one of the managers at the Sprint Corp. store on the south side of Springfield what the heck was going on with data speeds and he said that Sprint was slowing work in Springfield to pushing tower repairs and upgrades to the Joplin area. I guess not.

I wonder if we'll see even marginal upgrades on 3G let alone LTE in the Network Vision upgrades.

Well i was getting near 1000 down and 200 up before the tower upgrades in my area (north of Detroit Mi) During the updates it seems like my 3g dropped off to near nothing for about 3 weeks. Now that its updated...

I'm getting miserable 3g speeds right now, I'm talking 30 kbps. The really frustrating thing is that my girlfriend has an EVO 3d and she is pulling speed 300 kbps on her phone.I was under the impression the EVO 4G LTE was supposed to be faster. Do you guys have any ideas on how I can fix this problem?
