I'd be more worried about the steering wheel staying attached, but what do I know? (kidding. maybe)

If you mean you are plugging the phone into the USB port and trying to play it, it won't, but it will charge the phone for you. It will play via bluetooth only. An iPod should play via plugging it in I think. I don't know for sure as my vehicles all have Microsoft Sync and charge, do bluetooth, and hook up the ipods.

None hear man, I still use a cassette tape adapter that's plugs into the headphone jack....LOL.

LOL! That's working for me as well. I don't even have a CD player in my truck! Much less an integrated media system that can sync with my phone!! But my truck is an 01 with 240K miles on it, so maybe I should upgrade that before I upgrade my phone!?!

I am thinking more along the lines of file format. Android uses FAT32, it's possible that the car can only read NTFS or something.

I would read the manual and see what it says, it may need a specific file structure or file format.

Does a normal USB thumbdrive work?

Since my Evo doesn't work when plugged through the usb cable into my radio, I plug my thumbdrive up (16gb) and it works just fine. As long as the music is all saved in a "music" directory, it plays it. Doesn't do playlists though. A way around that is to name your files with a # depending on Genre. For instance i have all songs alphabetical, however, if they are roots reggae for instance (my fav genre) I'll name the tracks 1_Night Nurse, 1_War, 1_Burning & Looting, etc. You get my drift. You can play around with file numbering to get the desired faux playlist feel...

Yea..that's the way a jump-drive is organized. I use my iPod, Pandora, or Bluetooth. None of the phones plug in to play through USB, but I'd imagine if you had a USB to 3.5mm jack cord it would.

Does your car have a 3.5 mm jack in it somewhere? My CRV will play the iPod through the USB input but there is a 3.5 mm jack that connects to the AUX input of the system as well. You could use the USB to charge and use the 3.5 mm to connect the audio. Just a thought. I haven't tried to stream audio from my EVO yet because I just use the iPod for music.

Well i hooked it up, but it wont stop indexing on the cars computer. Hmm. Oh well, just using my ipod until i figure it out.
