Evo HDMI out mirroring?

need help too. when trying to download the apk i keep getting application not found. not sure if i am doing something wrong???

This works great for me i'm running a stock rom with the kernel recommended for this i've even tryed this without the kernel and it worked ok. only issue i had was when i uploaded the kernel i was missing a couple icons like clock and messages but they still worked. so i uploaded it again and that fixed it so i tryed a couple things like dolphin browser, market, words with friends and they all worked pefect then i tried modern cobat 2 and it went to a black screen but the audio was still there it was really glitchy. all in all this is an awsome app!!!

Running MikFroyo 4.5. Unrevoked. Flashed, installed apk (after reading directions several times ... lol). Works well. Had to adjust TV settings to properly show screen (but that's unrelated). There is some buffering/flickering issues, but what is there to complain about? It's free and a whole lot better than the stock HDMI-out platform.

At the moment those buffering/flickering issues are a problem. How else is the developer to know of problems prior to a full blown release? Users of this app must provide feedback to make it a better product.

Once this is taken care of, all will be good. Until then, I can't afford to have my phone acting up on me. I removed the HDMI kernal and all is smooth again (the Full HDMI app is still on my phone).

Also, those of you who don't like the kernel that has been published. I have confirmed that this can be baked into any kernel. Give it a couple of days and it WILL be in your favorite kernels. It's already been built into one that is very popular and supports overclocking. Look for that to go public soon.

Hey fittek... How did you get hdmi to rca? I bought that cable you linked plus micro hdmi to reg hdmi adapter and am getting nothing... Won't even detect cables connected

You CANNOT use a simple cable to convert hdmi to composite. It will never work. HDMI is a digital encrypted signal, it cannot just be converted to analog with a cable. You need an hdmi downconverter, and they arent cheap:

down converter
HDMI to Composite or S-Video Scaler

Actually thats not the case Fittek figured it out with a specific Hdmi to Rca cable which he posted and than just get an Micro Hdmi to full Hdmi and your good to go.

That cable must be more than just a cable, if it has a plastic "junction" where it splits then they probably have a DAC in that spot.

well your technically right , But your still wrong.
We arent converting anything, this cable will only work with 480p. when i use this i force the res in my evo to 480p.
and a composite connection can carry a digital signal they used em for digital audio for years before optical became the standard.
IF we were trying to use the evo to bump 720p/1080p into an rca input on a display now thats impossible.
