Don't show those galaxy s boys... They get all sensitive when their phones gets beat out in reviews.... its cool don't get me wrong but it still seems that the Evo still reigns supreme in Sprints jungle...

i find it strange that since the evo got 2.2 thier have been alot more of these evo vs epic video's. these peeps who do these vids should really compaire both units as they were released. with no mods or 2-3 months after a phone gets a major upgrade. totally unfair. we really need to do another vid like this when the epic gets 2.2 then and only then will we have a fair showdown.

They were making video's between the iphone4 and Evo when Evo first came out with 2.1 and no Froyo yet, and comparing it to iphone's 4yr more polished ui. Nothing is fair. (albeit, Evo still won regardless

the evo is going to get spanked IF 2.2 actually rolls onto it.... lack of updates is why i no longer buy samsung phones

Question: does anyone know if the Snapdragon processor is also inferior to the Hummingbird? Not talking gpu, just the processor.

Why do these threads keep showing up? If you like the Evo, good for you, if you like the Epic, good for you. why do people always have to compare the two or try to justify picking one or the other geez.

There are many people who have the paranoia of getting THE godphone. Even though this phone does not and will never exist, people are still scrambling to get the "best phone ever". Unfortunately, when people do this, they forget about how their own phone is good and almost start to feel like there are too many mistakes with it. To reassure themselves, they start threads like these to get feedback from people with the same phone, so they can feel better about their choice. It sucks that unless you are just a regular consumer, it's somewhat difficult to enjoy the phone that you have. This happens to me a lot, but after a while, I just tell myself to stop reading comparisons and just enjoy what I've got.

Its newer and all that good stuff, but when it comes to REAL speed increases... It doesnt matter one bit.
Most would say its better than the snapdrag, but by how much? Not much.

No it wont. Epic still has herpes aka TouchWiz. If you want to go by this comparison non of the things that the Evo won would be effected if the Epic got 2.2. The Evo won speed, design, software ui, and browser. There was a draw with call quality, signal strength, and specs. Epic getting 2.2 would change speed, but enough to beat the Evo? Not sure. Design, that wont change with 2.2. Software UI with 2.2 wont be the Evo. There is no cure for herpes. And browser, not a chance. The Evo was loading web pages FASTER WITH flash loading than the Epic did without flash loading. Signal strength wont change, call quality wont change, and specs wont change with 2.2. So go troll yourself back to the Epic forum. If you even have one...

What I do to entertain myself is flash custom ROMs. If I didn't do that, I would quickly become bored with my phone. I don't read phone reviews until towards the end of my 1 year upgrade, So I can decide what phone I want to get.

Damn people sure have a lot of anger, and within the Sprint camp nonetheless. Why so much hate? The EVO and Epic are both superb phones. I would think people would be glad that Sprint has both the best HTC and best Galaxy S phone available right now, not to mention the best two phones available right now (sorry DX/iP).
