So I have a Preorder in from these guys on their site and still no idea when it's shipping. Just realized it's available now on Amazon for less money.

That is an awful crappy way to treat customers that went out of their way to buy something on the manufacturer website.

Google Pixel Case - RhinoShield [CrashGuard] Bumper [11 Ft Drop Tested] No Bulk [ShockSpread Technology] Thin Lightweight Protection - Slim Rugged Cover [Black] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4KQZA...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5533838

If you used the $5 discount code, it would work out to the same price (basically the only difference being $5 shipping from Rhinoshield directly).

As to shipping, I preordered mine 10/21, got shipping notification 10/24, and it arrived 10/28, so they're not too bad on speed. If you still haven't received a shipping confirmation, though, you should be able to cancel your preorder.

My order confirmation says October 15th, haven't gotten a shipped email yet. Price worked out to about two dollars cheaper ordering through Amazon. That's with the slow shipping option with them verses prime shipping with Amazon. WTF?

I should probably clarify mine was for the XL, so it's possible it was available before the regular Pixel's - sorry. But at this point, if you still haven't received anything, just cancel the order and go through Amazon.

Have you seen the white version for the XL available on Amazon? I preordered the white but haven't been able to find one except on the rhino shield site.

I'm getting the impression they are just getting things together and getting parts out the door this week.

Got my tracking number. Some day I would have gotten the bumper if I had just waited and ordered through Amazon. Messed up pre-orders are frustrating.

I got mine Saturday. This is coming from a Galaxy S6 (which is almost exactly the same size as the pixel it seems) where I had an Amzer (I think) bumper, very much like this one.

It makes the phone feel quite a bit bigger. Yes, this is a duh moment, but still. This has what is presumably the extra drop protection in it, and it adds more to the heft than the thinner Amzer did on the S6. Once beyond the initial shock from going naked to not though, it feels pretty good. You end up gripping the bumper when grabbing it and speaking into it, but I switch to a partial grip where a couple of my fingers are lying across the naked back, for support while typing. Essentially the same as when it was naked, but without the pinky drop protection being required. It does add confidence to the grip, but it also adds girth.

The buttons are stiffer to operate, but that is probably mostly because I am still within the adjustment period. It is easier to press harder with the better grip. The overhang to the top and bottom is minimal. The overhang on top seems to grab only that slight curve on the screen, so nothing actually usable- I have had no issue on the sides being responsive, or tough to tap. The bottom seems to have an extra, slightly raised edge. I think it helps with grip while on flat surface, but it also adds a texture feature when holding it, that may or may not be anything more than my fingers wanting to find it.

I might try another, thinner bumper if a decent one comes out, but this is a good bumper case.

I'm not a fan of how sharp the back edges are, feels uncomfortable while holding it. They should have styled the back edges similar to the front or wrapped them around a bit.

The sides are a bit loose and won't hug the phone, they bend out and feel a bit weird.

Also adds a significant amount of bulk but it isn't terrible.

Not perfect but likely does add the claimed protection.

Hhhhhmmmmm, I really like protecting my phone with extremely minimal bulk. By the looks of what is being said, I should avoid this bumper?

It's quite a bit wider and a little thicker than a TPU case. With no back you do get to feel the thinness of the phone. I'm finding a classic TPU case is noticeably more comfortable in the hand without the sharp back edge for example. I hope poetic does another bumper like they did for the Nexus 5, I loved that bumper. Neither protect as well as the CrashGuard though.

I didn't have any issue with the sides - they stayed in tight enough. Did you squeeze the frame of the bumper at all before putting it on? That's something they indicate is actually really bad for it, but you might not have known it if you just pulled it straight from the box, and could cause that type of issue (they should really put some sort of a graphic on the box - maybe a 'don't squeeze the charmin' type of note).

I didn't so much mind the extra width with the bumper on my Pixel XL, coming from a Nexus 6 - still manageable. (on that note, for anyone wondering how wide the Pixel XL is with the bumper, it's almost exactly the same width as a naked Nexus 6; this doesn't directly apply for the regular Pixel, but might give some perspective).

My only real gripe is with the buttons, which are difficult to press. Oh, and if you're getting this bumper, don't get a skin that extends around the sides, top, or bottom of the phone. The bumpers are built to pretty tight tolerances, and that extra 0.5mm or so that it adds actually makes it really, really tough to put the phone in or remove it from the bumper.

It adds much more bulk to a Pixel (non-XL) than I thought it would. Mine fits quite tight and was hard to remove. It's not my favorite. I'm going to stick with the Ringke.

Does this even come close to the "official" Nexus 4 bumper that Google sold? That thing was perfect!
