Ex iPhone User Needs Help - Notifications and Heads Up

Hey all, I made the switch from iOS to Android with the new S8+. I am still working through the transition. So far, it has been a good and smooth transition, but def a learning curve. Two issues that I am having.

1. Heads up notifications. I really miss previewing emails on pop ups. I have tried a few of the other email clients, but they seem to be buggy. Any suggestions?

2. Lock screen notifications and preview. My lock screen is only showing the icons. I have all options set up to show preview and content, but only the icon for the app shows. This is for all apps. I know it is app specific so I have gone into email and messages and checked all settings there. I can't get it to work.

I liked the banners that iOS offered. I used them a lot. Looking for something to act like that.

I just checked mine out. There are two areas that need drilling down into. First: Lock Screen & Security. Make sure "show content" is enabled and All Apps is on. Then, go into the Notifications settings and enable those applications you want. I only have a handful turned on, to help conserve battery, and email isn't one of them. Can't help. Therefore with the email question you pose. Hope this is of some help.
