Excel not working on galaxy tab a

Office excel not working on my galaxy tab a P555 with pen support, Does anyone know a work around this? I had sideloaded the app but it shows me that it needs additional files to be downloaded, but once the files are being downloaded the application stops and closes, what can I do?
