exchange/contacts sync question

I just wiped and loaded a new ROM. I then added Touchdown back as my e-mail app. It synced everything fine but when I go to make a call none of my contacts are listed and none of the names are showing up in my sms messages (only numbers). I added an Exchange acct to only grab my contacts and that worked but it seems like I am duplicating efforts since I already have exchange synced up with me device via Touchdown. Suggestions?

I don't believe that Touchdown syncs contacts to your phones address book. I would contact Touchdown support as it is a commercial product and they should provide you with help on this. I tried Touchdown for a few days, but ditched it particularly for that reason and switched back to the built in Exchange sync.

Yes touchdown doesn't sync to your phone's address book. It keeps a separate book that only that app can access. (except when making phone calls or sending text messages out of that book)
