Should I look at new pixel or version 3?

s10 is nice, but hate bloatware.

Think it would be a mistake to exchange?

Thanks

I'm personally coming from an iPhone XS and though I love that I can get software updates with a Pixel, I've gravitated to the S10 because I want a phone that can do a bit more.

I'm not going to choose one at the moment. Samsung is still like a new pair of shoes to me.

I still prefer Google mainly for it's camera, software, A.I., and timely updates.

Samsung has a few novel things in it's software, however I rarely use them. I do like Samsung Pay. Google Play works in a lot of places but Samsung works almost anywhere with a credit card terminal.

I can honestly live with both since I have to have 2 phones anyway.

I have a Galaxy S10e and, for whatever reason, I would much rather use my Pixel 3a XL. I'm sure some of this comes from my "Nexus background" (I've owned the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 5, 5X, and 6P); I like the clean, bloatware free Android with the "Google touches" (like the Pixel launcher).

What I'm finding, though, the 3a is fast enough for me (I don't notice much, if any, speed difference) and the "extras" Google put on are things I use. I like the spam call screening, the Pixel camera, etc. The only feature of the S10e I really miss is Samsung Pay. Then I consider that I got the 3a XL for about $150 from T-Mobile (traded in an OG Pixel for $400 that I bought on eBay for $70) and I can't see a reason to keep the S10e anymore.

That is one insane deal. Wow. Too bad I'm on AT&T!

What about the Pixel 3 vs 3a?
Verizon has it for 500.00
Would the 3a still be better?

Depends on who you talk to but the 3 is a better device pretty much all the way around. You really have decide which features are important to you to determine which one suits you best.

Just wondering if any negative reasons for buying pixel 3 over 3a.
I do not see any features on 3a that are not on 3.

I would definitely exchange for either Pixel model. While I haven't had the s10 primarily because I can't stand Samsung's bloat, I did have the One Plus 7 Pro for 2 days and can say without a doubt the Pixel 3a xl is a better experience for me. Don't get me wrong, the S10 and OP7P are fancy devices that are flashy and spec driven, however I find the user experience better on the Pixel. No unwanted bloat ware, 3 years of software updates, a flat display, (Samsung's curved display is one thing, but the OP7P's curved display is way too severe), superior battery life, a better camera than either an S10 or OP7P, and 3 years of guaranteed software updates strait from Google. Oh and it's a lot cheaper. The 3a reminds me of the original Moto X. On paper it was mid range, but in real world usage, it's a beast. As far as whether to get a 3 or 3a, that's up to you. I personally think the 3a's give you 90 percent of the performance of the 3's at half the price.

4 quick ones

Faster processor
Water resistance,
Wireless charging,
Dedicated camera SOC chip

No, the advantage to the 3a is price, particularly with some of the deals. The 3 is a better phone, just a matter of how much extra you might be willing to pay for the 3.

just found out that the 300 off for pixel 3 is new line only. so 400 vs 750

What can the s10 do over pixel?

Samsung devices always have more features than just about any other Android. Coming from an iPhone, that's the change I want. But that's just me. It didn't matter to a lot of people.
