Hello all,

Sorry for my maybe stupid question or if already raised.

Is it possible that after configuring my work email with security bypass , that my employer can notice it?
I mean is there a way that the security server "sees" that I bypassed the security?

Reason I did is to avoid the encryption of the device

Thanks in advance

What do you mean by 'security bypass'?

If this is an Exchange account, the server can 'read' the options enabled and/or disabled in your device if polled by the administrator. But if you 'bypassed' these options with some form of 'local' hackery or software, it depends on what the server is polling for (but most of the time, they'll see the right options enabled, even though they're locally disabled in your phone).

Ask yourself... Are the consequences of getting caught bypassing company security protocol worth not encrypting your phone?

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

Thanks for the reply.
I am using mailwise email app and it allows you to bypass the exchange security (encryption and password )
