Hey.
Got my eye on the upcoming Samsung Chromebook Plus (the Pro is more than I need it for) and hoping it will be available in the UK.
From my own research and listening and reading what you've said on the subject I think it'll be a perfect device for me.
I have my phone for out and about and a good enough PC for any heavy lifting.
I've looked at tablets in the past but basically we're talking a bigger phone so a Chromebook (especially now with Android app support) seems perfect.
A bit of media consumption and web browsing with the added benefit of being able to get office related stuff done too.

Are there any pitfalls I should bare in mind?
I've heard you discussing how to print from one before, but was wondering if there's anything useful a laptop can do that a Chromebook can't?

Answers welcome from anyone.

Printing from a Chromebook (or Chromebox even) requires a printer connected to Google's Cloud Print service. If you have a Wi-Fi enabled printer made in the last few years you should be good.

Chromebooks are perfect for media consumption, web browsing and some light work. I did a similar transition myself a couple months ago, and wrote about the experience here. (Mods please feel free to delete that sentence if I violated any rules).

Shoot me a PM if you have any specific questions. I've got the new Asus Chromebook Flip C302, and I'm using Android apps.

Thanks. Just had a read, well wrote and very clear.
Yeah Windows 10 updates are a big turn off for me, was even worse until recently when my home internet was lucky to get over 1mb download speeds.

I think I've already made my mind up but reading positive things like this from a user rather than a reviewer are always a plus.

Cheers.
