My ip cams are intranet only. I use Chou's ip cam app to see and record at home as well as D-View Cam. My cams won't connect to DLink.

Is there any Android app that will connect by wifi in my home then export video to me on the Net so.I can see feed when I'm away?

Oh I should say I am not techy so I will need an app to do the dirty work. My router is UPnP open but setting up my own server or doing it through Windows is above my skills level.

I want remote access far away from my wifi signal through the Internet. I can already form intranet connections. I need an app that finds the wifi signal, connects then exports to some app I can access from net.

Galactic may have you pointed in the right direction. It might work something like this:

- Use Team Viewer or the like to connect your phone to your computer over the internet similar to a remote login.
- Then using the camera software on your computer to view the camera feeds with Team Viewer sending the "screen share" back to your phone.

Ya I really don't want Windows involved. Thanks anyway. No android app will do this?

"An app that finds the wifi signal" no. No app can determine which one is yours.

If the cameras don't connect to your router, how do you connect to them? They have to connect to your router (the box then connect to has to). Once that's done, find out what port they use, forward that port on the router to that IP address (the box will have an IP address - you can find the box in the router, and you'll see its IP address). Then get an account at dynu.com (it's free and doesn't have to be renewed every month) and set up a named address to connect to your external IP address. Then just connect a web browser (or the special software the cameras use, if they don't create a web page) from anywhere in the world to that named address. (Use Yawcam if they don't provide a web-viewable picture - it can show up to 8 pictures at once.)

I said my cams are on wifi in my home intranet. I don't get your point.

I think an app called Owlr will do what I want but they need to change the port number to a 5 digit number (right now it is 80) I'm concerned if they do I won't be able to connect to D-View Cam to record my feed in the house.
