I have an old Dell Axim that I'd use a fold-able bluetooth keyboard with. It was a terrific way to have a sort of a notebook experience with a very small device and a long battery life long before the advent of the netbooks. It was great for note taking at meetings and seminars. Phone keyboards are OK for pecking out a text or a tweet, but if you really want to do a document a bigger keyboard sure is nicer.

I don't think Apple will ever permit this for their IPhone. One of the things that attracts me to Android is a much more open environment. Any chance you could connect a bluetooth keyboard to a Droid? I would imagine if it isn't do able now that someone will get around to it given all of the ways people are using Android. Any thoughts? Anyone else use know anything about this?

real external keyboard

I used to have an external keyboard for my HP pocket computer more than decade ago. I loved it. I don't see why we won't have an external keyboard for the DROID sooner or later.

Glad to see someone else is thinking along similar lines.

android bluetooth keyboard

I've just seen this on a forum:

It appears to be a snapshot of a bluetooth keyboard application for the Android
