External Speaker Problem

A while ago my external speaker stopped working. I checked all the settings, turned it on and off, but nothing worked. I eventually decided to do a factory reset which was a pain. It has now done it again. Does anyone know why this is, and can I sort the problem without factory resetting it ?

I have sorted it after some research. Apparently there is a design fault with the way the speaker is connected. By physically twisting the phone it sorted the problem. I fear that my phones days may be numbered
