extra battery

I've been trying to find a second battery for when I am traveling , but neither AT&T or Motorola list the battery as available separate from the phone.

It appears that the BH6X battery is also used as an extended battery for the Droid X (with a new cover) and so, oddly enough, you can buy them from Verizon - but with the cover, it's $50.

Can anyone confirm that those are in fact the right battery - the same as used in the Atrix? When I search for them on Amazon, the stats they give for the battery are different from the ones listed for the Atrix.

Anyone know of a good source?

SDB, have you ordered this charger and batts. yet?

How are these working from gadget-robot?
i'd never trust those batteries, ever. wouldn't even care if someone stated they had a good experience using them.

manufacturers battery only, for me.

I've purchased two Atrix motorola made batteries from androidcentral. prior doing that, i checked couple of other sites, they had really good offers, like one site offered $25 with free shipping.... but then i googled people's reviews on this site... no wonder 90% of them were negatives... There are lots of fake counterfeited batteries, so you really have to be careful what you are buying, its always better to spend more but to get the battery from either your carrier or manufacturer... androidcentral is a great source to shop for batteries and what not... expensive though......

my extra battery is coming in tomorrow with the media dock. i think it's worth it.

Even if the counterfeit battery gave you great battery life, there is still a chance it could do things to your phone... exploding or other things.

Ok, guys. Purchasing from a reputable supplier like Android Central is fair enough. Wow 60day return policy!!!! Where did you get your battery charger? I don't see one on Android Central of Seidio yet. So now what?

no battery charger from Motorola, so there isn't one on A/C by Motorola... i plan charging it one at a time in the phone. i haven't even needed the spare battery. i started using the motorola charger and that's the only thing i did. i don't bother reducing the brightness or any of those battery saving tips and i have had great battery for the past week or so. in fact, my settings remain unchanged.

40%, 9 1/4 hours on the regular motorola battery.

i get 50% 16h 30m with battery saving tips applied. so it does help big time, and I'm a moderate to heavy user. more heavy than anything.

i was thinking about getting a spare as well, but does anyone use a good battery charger? so far the ones i been looking at are mixed reviews. the only ones i see are the droid x which would charge the bh6x battery. Which i assume would work for the atrix.

i used to do that with my 3GS (iPhone) and Nexus One, but realized i saw the phone advertised one way, but wasn't using it how i fell in love with it.

i'm usually around a charger, but on average i get to 30% on 15 hours, did that a few times this week. yesterday was just insane... installed a crap load of apps and SMSed like a maniac. i think i did around 600 sms that day.

all and all, it's awesome. now that motorola let me in on the beta, improving battery life is one of the things addressed.
