Exchanging N3 today for a new. If that doesn't fix the reception problems, I dont know what to do. I've never had these issues with sprint, since switching to tmobile, the phone is basically a brick indoors. Tough to compare because I dont know if its the phone itself or the carrier. This was supposed to be an exciting switch over to android, its turned into aggravation/frustration.

I have found Verizon to have excellent building piercing signal....just fyi.

T-Mobile's signal is not as strong indoors as Verizon Wireless' or AT&T's because T-Mobile's voice signal is on the 1900MHz band. I doubt that getting a new phone will solve this for you. Do you know any other T-Mobile customers? If so, are they experiencing the same problems indoors? If you don't know any other T-Mobile users, the lack of indoor reception in areas that you go is probably why you don't know any.

T-mobile can have some issues within certain buildings but I haven't run into many. What buildings are you having issues with? Home?

Had verizon for awhile, after I added my kids, I ended up with a $500 monthly bill, switched to sprint for the unlimited. Dont know many with tmo. I may have to try the sprint version. Love the N3, dont want to give it up.

Im also in the city, between Boston and Providence RI daily, it should be working lightning speeds.

Its everywhere, dropped calls constantly, no internet, etc. Its like the antenna just cant pick up a signal.

You may need to take it to a T-Mobile store to look at it. Ignore the coverage maps on T-Mobile's site... Check sensorly.com for user submitted data.. It's usually very accurate on the signal you should be getting.

T-Mobile is one of the few carriers that really supports UMA. Do you have wifi service in your house or most places you go. If the phone switches over to UMA for phone calls that may work out for you. Certainly not optimal, but it is something

I'll check that site, thanks. Hoping its just a defective phone. Maybe a bad antenna, thats all I can think of.

Wifi is very weak, either way, I'm bring the phone in to tmo in a few and have them check it out, exchange it. If I'm still having problems, I'll know its the carrier. I'll just suck it up like a big girl, until I get my upgrade with sprint in June, then try theirs.

Hope it works out for you . I'm in NYC and my LTE service has been crap the last week or so.
