Extremely high data usage Samsung S10e

My phone has used almost 12gb of mobile data this month but the individual app usage only adds up to about 4 gb. What is the deal here? Help?!

Welcome to Android Central! Remember also that the data that your phone tallies doesn't always match up exactly with how much your carrier is counting.

Yes! And sometimes your billing period and data used over the past month don't match, especially if your carrier bill isn't due at the beginning or end of the month. That happened to me when I bought my phones unlocked.
