I noticed that now Face Recognition wouldnt work and pin is required if the phone is left idle for 4 or more hours? Didnt it used to be 12 hours or 24 hours?

Is there a way to extend the time?

You can now unlock your phone by just looking at it! However, if you’ve set up a lock screen with Face recognition, your screen may request a PIN, Pattern, or Password under the following conditions:

At least once every 24 hours.

If 4 hours have passed without using the device.

If the device has been restarted.

Note: These additional checks are to help keep your phone secure

I didn't realize that the four-hour thing was, well, a *thing*. Is this a recent development, standard with all devices? My S10 didn't do that, from what I recall -- and I ended up using Face Unlock all the time.

I don't mind since it's for security.. usually my phone is being used daily so that's scenario does not come up often
