Face retouching Pixel 2 XL

I've seen some articles claiming that the Pixel 2 camera has a face retouching feature. If so, does anyone know how to enable / disable it?

It's the button right next to the menu button. Tap that and it shows off or on.

Not on mine. In the camera app the timer is next to the menu button.

This is driving me nuts.

Face retouching appears to be only available for the front facing camera.
