When my phone is on ambient display I have to tap it to get to the lock screen. Only then will Face unlock work. I have turned on motion sense and set all the options. I have got it set to bypass the lock screen and go straight to homescreen.

It does not illuminate when my hand moves towards it. I hope my soli chip is working.

So utterly annoying. I will have to get a replacement from the shop tomorrow or Friday. They have reserved one for me. So that means setting it all up all over again!!

And I can't swipe to dismiss alarms.

I can snooze alarms, but not dismiss them. Is that the way it is supposed to work? Why? I would have thought that swiping one way might snooze and the other would dismiss, but that's apparently not how it works.

As to track change, I can't make it work with either Poweramp (okay, maybe not updated yet) or Google Play Music (seriously?). So, what apps *does* it work with?

Works on Spotify, and I just tested it on Google music worked perfectly.

Okay, with some more practice, I got it to work on Google Play Music, though I'm not convinced that it is worth the trouble as it seems very fussy.

Definitely doesn't work with Poweramp (my preferred music player), though.

I used it while on Spotify just to make sure it works, and it does.
When listening to music it's though earbuds so it's just easier to leave phone in pocket and skip songs though the earbuds

Yes, that is correct. You can't dismiss an alarm, only SNOOZE it. Makes no sense to me.

So I was meant to be swapping out my phone for a replacement today because motion sense wasn't working. But I saw there was a trial on the pixel tips app. So I tried it and suddenly it was working. But whenever I tried it in the real world it wasn't. I had to reset the phone to take back to the shop anyway so I didn't restore from a previous phone. Just set up as new. And hey presto I can SNOOZE my alarm and silence calls. So it looks like something from my backup was preventing motion sense from working.

The good thing is I no longer need to go all the way to Sheffield to get a replacement phone. Bad news is I need to setup my phone again. Good thing I took screenshots of my layout!

Good to know! Always best to do a fresh install

I have my device set to NOT go directly to the home screen after it face unlocks, however, every now and then, the device seems to glitch and it will go directly to home screen. And I can repeat this (turn screen off, wake it again, unlocks and goes directly to home screen), but if I leave the screen off and the device alone for a bit, it goes back to requiring a swipe to get in after unlock.

Anyone else experiencing this? My guess is it's early glitches...
