Okay everyone, so simple question here for your Nexus 6, do you use the regular full version of the Facebook app, and older version of the Facebook app to save RAM memory and battery usage or Facebook Lite? Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't use the Facebook app. I'll go to it sometimes via Chrome, but I don't use the app at all.

On the Beta program and right now the app is uninstalled. Whatever they did with the last update is horrible. Force closes and error notifications even when the app has been closed. Will reinstall a month.

May I ask which beta program of the Facebook app you talking about? Could you provide a link? does it take a lot of memory or battery?? Thanks.

I use Chrome and made a bookmark on the home screen. Use an icon pack and voilà: my own battery friendly Facebook app without the annoying messenger.

Question for you in particular for Facebook Lite, do you find that it keeps up to date with the News Feed & do you find the scrolling smooth ?

You could still use it without installing the Facebook app.

Yeah I know I just like to use everything in one place for the most part. Besides the newly updated Facebook you up inside 220 meg of RAM. It's way too big even if our phones can easily handle it they shouldn't have to if you know what I mean.

Me too. That's why I access my messages through chrome. You can also enable chrome notifications. And the best thing is that you save yourself from installing two apps.

Open Facebook on chrome. Then go to the menu on chrome and click the little rounded information button. You can allow notifications there.

You're welcome. This is how the bookmark looks on my Homescreen, just like the regular app. Only downside is that you won't have an icon in your app drawer.

Okay yeah cool because not Nashville at which makes sense. I'm going to give that a shower right now. I'll let you know what happens. It just so confusing cuz the regular and Facebook has features but not every feature that I need you at the Facebook Lite version scrolling themes chopping and news feed doesn't always seem to update unfortunately. Which is the point of it.
