Facebook Build 141046 in Notification bar?

I have Samsung Galaxy S II and had this problem as well! Selected Force Stop for Download Manager app from the list of ALL option. The notification disappeared. (Unless it crops up again!!!!!!!!)

Oh! It really cropped up again!! This is called the age of automation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So either FACE it or BOOK it!!!!!!

I tried Force Stop for Download Manager from ALL option of Manage Applications. It cropped up again (This is the age of automation!) I repeated the same sequence.

So, either FACE it or BOOK it!!

Hi,

It is very easy to kill the process. open Menu, click on download icon and delete the running download process.

Gud luck.

Clear app data in download manager app..it should fix it

Thank You for figuring it out I went 2 days trying to figure something out!!! I did everything from restarting to removing the facebook app but nothing helped

Apparently this just wants a WIFI connection for some reason. Connect to a network with internet access and it will immediately downloaded, install, and go away.

I recently had the same thing on my razr HD....after starting wifi a few times...it went thru...not sure what it did I don't notice any changes....but the annoying notification is gone! Lol

? Still waters run deep ?

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice, folks. I was well and truly stymied and incredibly irritated by this "build" all day, but a combination of the suggestions in this forum did the trick. Yay!
On my Droid Charge, I had to:
1) Turn on Wifi
2) Go to Downloads
3) Select Other Downloads
4) Check the box next to: Facebook build 141046
5) Click Clear Selection

thank you so much! that worked out well for me!

I had the same issue and it's been there for one day. I turned on Wi-Fi for one minute then it went away! It's a miracle! Love.

This helped me .. Hope it helps... First go to your applications and disable and uninstall all face book apps.. then go to Settings.. you should see applications... click on Running services and look for downloads.. once you are there click stop .. then it should go away .. you can always go back and reinstall the FB app.

I just read that this update is being directky pushed by Facebook, not through the Play Store.

Turning on wifi is the only thing that worked for me. 3 days later and my battery running down over and over! Thanks for the tips!

I forced closed it and it started back up several times after repeating that process. I finally uninstalled Facebook and all its data from the "Application Manager" in system settings then re-installed it from play store. So far so good.
