Facebook calendar events - Clear them

Hey all,

I synced "Facebook for Social Hub" including calendar to my phone. I'd like to get rid of the Facebook birthday's showing up every day, so I tried to uncheck "sync calendar" in accounts & sync, as well as unchecked "Facebook" in the calendar app.

Yet the events are still showing up in the calendar, they won't "clear" out.

Any idea how to get rid of these?

Remove the Facebook account from accounts and sync and readd it in, minus syncing calendar.
